I love seeing progress made on Redot, just like others probably do. This is a very welcomed addition

Yep yep

Also, theRedot channel on libera isn't mentioned, despite being official according to libera naming conventions. If it is official channel, I think it would be nice to mention it as well, if it is not, maybe notice libera and let them know?
Also also: I cannot seem to be able to write # redot together, even if I write the pound symbol as # (see that it does not escape properly), or quote it. I dunno what forum software you use, but it may be worth it contacting them with this.
Also also also: I have never had such issues on forums using simple machines forums software which also works without the use of javascript - may be worth considering an early switch to a more tested and reliable software while there aren't many posts here yet?
Also also also also: I just realized that maybe I sound too negative since all I did is point out some issues. I am definitely not, I am very excited and happy to have forums, infinitely better than a discord. I just want them to be the best they can, so I point out whatever issue I can to hopefully make them even better! :D
I'll address the Forum specific topics.

This is already being worked on, there is a delay where the web team has to make the changes, and push them.

This is by design, adding the # symbol followed by any forum category name will rewrite and hotlink to that category.

We are quite happy with our current forum setup, SMF is heavily outdated, by modern standards, and we have opted to use something a bit more modern, and lightweight, it isn't meant to have every single feature in existence otherwise we would have used Discourse. This wasn't the goal when setting them up we wanted simple to use, fast and efficient.
I was interested in what software the forum runs on, since they were too ashamed to put it in the footer. Found out it is flarum and I was terrified to find that their website features almost exclusively AI-generated imagery. Is it possible that they are stealing the discussions posted here to train some LLM model? Anyhow, they probably used chatgpu to write the forum sw since it has so many oversights :-D
